Packaging Solutions

In a move to provide a single source for its customers packaging requirements, Qualvis, has recently launched its design and innovations studio known as ‘Qualvis Innovations’.

The initiative, based at the company’s manufacturing site in Leicestershire, will be able to strategically deliver innovative packaging concepts from initial sketches through to the brands print ready state, then further manage projects through production in Qualvis’ in-house print and conversion facility.

Explaining further, creative design director, Richard Pacey, said: ‘We have over 100 years of combined experience in graphics, packaging design, reprographics and print to give the perfect project management team to push our clients packaging to its full potential. Every brand on shelf has to work hard to grab the consumers attention, and it is our knowledge of design coupled with print and post print effects that team up to deliver that all important impact.

‘The concept is unique: a team of skilled graphic designers, structural designers and reprographics specialists collaborate in-house to bridge the gap between external agencies working on individual aspects of a customer’s packaging. We link the three disciplines of graphics, structure and reprographics seamlessly together to reduce time and cost and increase the accuracy and impact of the finished product. We have the capability in house to deliver accurate one off prototypes moving to digitally producing small run quantities for market testing off our Xerox iGens through to full bulk and large scale print runs in litho.

‘We ensure from an early stage that important finishing effects are considered, ones that are reflective of a brands ethos and that will add the point of difference from the competition. The processes such as embossing, debossing, laminations and various foiling techniques are introduced to the artwork so that when a customer is ready to print, there are no surprises and the finished design project seamlessly runs through our production facility. The only surprise should be the fantastic end result!’

Qualvis Innovations has recently launched a new website at www.qualvisinnovations.co.uk
