Glossop Cartons has announced that it has retained its packaging certifications at the former Contact Print and Packaging site in Stockport following the acquisition of the company in November 2015. It continues to be certified to ISO 9001: 2008, incorporating the requirements of PS9000: 2011.

The quality management system standard in place ensures that Glossop Cartons is fully compliant with industry recognised production standards for the manufacturing of a wide range of packaging products across the food, healthcare, IT and Pharmaceuticals industries.

Under the certifications, Glossop Cartons can continue to offer full compliance to pharmaceutical customers across its lithographic carton range, facilitating risk management, implementing a controlled system and eliminating risk to ensure a safe production process.

As a family owned company celebrating its 35th year anniversary in 2017, the company’s ability to offer the same personal touch to its service offer still runs throughout the business and this is where Glossop Cartons sets itself apart from its competitors, as Jacky Sidebottom-Every, sales director explained: ‘With our team’s 35 year knowledge of producing and managing a wide range of innovative packaging solutions, we are now in a better position than ever to offer exceptional solutions to pharmaceutical brands.

‘We are very excited to have this certification under our belt and we are looking forward to getting started on new projects with some of the brands that we are in discussion with whilst offering the highest quality assurances within the medicinal products manufacturing sector.

‘This certification follows the BRC Food Packaging for Packaging Materials certification where Glossop Cartons recently achieved an AA Grade under the High Hygiene category.

‘Coupled with our continued investment into the latest print and packaging technologies, we are in a really positive position to offer both pharmaceutical and food brands in particular, the opportunity to fully exploit our extensive experience and the technical capabilities of our new six colour plus litho coater and the Mitsubishi V3000 that we installed last year.’
