Wohlenberg 115 adds cutting edge to JJ Lee

The installation of a Baumann-Wohlenberg 115 high speed cutter has enabled specialist carton printer J J Lee (Bath) to increase the capacity and speed at which the company can cut carton board to the sizes it requires for its packaging production.

Managing director Paul Darvill said, We looked at a number of suppliers before settling on the Baumann-Wohlenberg. The build quality and price of the 115 were both exceptional.’

Specialising in packaging, among the items that can be produced by JJ Lee are cartons, blister cards and display boxes for a large range of industry sectors including food (chilled, frozen and ambient), cosmetics, gifts and household. All normal production is handled in-house, which ensures high quality and a quick turnaround for jobs, the company also works with a team of partners that can add a final touch to a product with special effects and finishes.

Paul added, ‘Cutting efficiency and accuracy has been greatly improved by the installation of the 115, as well as helping us to eliminate a bottleneck in production. Going forwards we are continuing to look at improving our machinery for better efficiency and for higher standards of finish.’

The Baumann-Wohlenberg 115 high speed cutter installed at JJ Lee (Bath) was supplied by UK and Ireland agent Friedheim International.
