Pelican Print has installed its first HP Indigo 5900, as it expands its digital offer following eight years using an HP Indigo 5000.

‘We chose to invest in HP Indigo technology again principally because our customers are used to the excellent quality of work we produce,’ said managing director Scott Brookes. ‘We have many customers who don’t just buy on price. They buy on the quality, reliability and service we provide as well as the usual quick turnaround the industry currently demands.’

Pelican Print also elected to trial HP’s EPM (Enhanced Productivity Mode) software before purchase, for a further productivity boost. ‘Following our tests with the EPM software we are confident we can use the facility on a high percentage of our work without any noticeable compromise on image quality. It means we can use the press to maximum capacity, deliver on quality and secure healthy profit margins on work produced on the press,’ explained Scott.
