Ace Binding orders Renz UK first at Hunkeler Innovationdays

Ace Binding has ordered the UK’s first Renz Inline 500 Compact at Hunkeler Innovationdays.

The Birmingham trade finisher made the investment in the automatic punching and binding machine for books and calendars after seeing it in action at Hunkeler Innovationdays.

It has been chosen to double capacity for A3 calendars.

Director Rob Hart explained, ‘We wanted a system that would complete A3 calendars in one streamlined process. We are currently punching separately. The Renz 500 Compact will run inline eliminating a stage and that will make us 50% faster.’

As for choosing the system he stated: ‘We have a number of Renz solutions and they run very well. They are quick and easy to set up. They are also very simple to use. When we saw it in action we could see it would be the same. It will make a big difference being able to complete work all in one process.’

The highly flexible Renz Inline 500 Compact delivers significantly increased productivity compared to semi-automatic machines. It includes a touch screen for easy format changes and QSA (Quick Size Adjustment) technology to reduce set up times. It is upgradable with various modules to adapt to customer demands.

The system will be installed in June.
