Flexible production enhanced at Belle Design & Print

Following its move to new premises, Belle Design & Print has chosen a Horizon SPF/FC-200A stitch/fold/trim line from Intelligent Finishing Systems to support highly flexible print production.

Director Helen Docherty said, ‘We were able to design the factory layout to our own specification and with the extra space, create an efficient workflow.’

The Horizon SPF/FC200A was chosen to support the emphasis on new services sid Helen: ‘We had an old Horizon collator so wanted something that could produce the finished item in one process. We visited a local printer and saw the machine in operation and then understood the range of sizes and materials the SPF/FC200A could handle, which has allowed us to add more services to our portfolio. It also enables fast turnaround, short run, flexible production.’

She continued, ‘We liked the Horizon because of its ease of use and capability to be set up at the touch of a button. We have one particular job producing slimline diaries and much of it was hand finished. This was time consuming but is now easier, much faster and we have seen clear benefits so are looking at what else we can offer.’
