Avanti Slingshot Print MIS solution can now integrate with the Catfish web to print platform from Infigo Software. The first user of the newly integrated solutions is the Print and Imaging Lab at Arizona State University (ASU).
‘Automation is the single most important element in keeping a print provider operating in the black today,’ said Cathy Skoglund, director of ASU’s print operation. ‘Both Avanti Slingshot and Infigo Catfish have enabled us to streamline our processes and serve our customers more effectively and efficiently. Integrating these two powerful tools was the natural next step, and it has multiplied the benefit they provide to ASU.’

The solution allows customers of the lab, whether internal or external, to use the software as a service (SaaS) based Infigo e-commerce platform to submit a print ready file or compose the entire piece online. By integrating Infigo Catfish with Avanti Slingshot, it is possible to automate every aspect of the print job into a single workflow, eliminating the need for human intervention. Functions such as job specification and submission, reporting, estimating, imposition, inventory management, scheduling, shipping and billing are automatically combined into a single, streamlined workflow.
‘Avanti’s modular technology provides the information and processes that printers need to maximise their profitability by operating more efficiently, with fewer resources and faster turnaround times,’ said Patrick Bolan, president and CEO, Avanti Systems Limited. ‘By integrating Avanti Slingshot with Infigo Catfish, our customers have easy access to a new set of unique and powerful e- commerce and job submission capabilities.’
‘Catfish, MegaEdit and our other widely acclaimed solutions offer advanced capabilities for print providers that can delight customers and substantially boost customer acquisition, retention, improvement of the online order process, reduces customers’ support costs, and increases the value of each order, ultimately driving increased profitability,’ said Douglas Gibson, managing director, Infigo Software. ‘The combination of Infigo and Avanti technologies provides print service providers access to best-in-class functionality.’
