When Abbey Print decided it was time to replace its existing guillotine there was only one option – a CCM Premier 780 guillotine from Terry Cooper Services (TCS).

The Spalding operation produces general commercial print on a fully automatic Komori 529 and two Heidelberg GTOs – a two colour and a single colour. For digital print it runs a Ricoh Pro C8100 and Ricoh Pro C7100sx.

It chose the CCM Premier 780 guillotine as an upgrade from its 20 year old version of the same system.

Production director Aubrey Howling said, ‘It was time to change the guillotine we had. We talked to Terry Cooper Services and we have bought systems from them in the past. We looked at a second hand solution but when we learnt about the newest competitively-priced CCM Premier it made sense to pick that.’

He continued, ‘You have got to have a good quality, reliable and easy to use guillotine and we felt this fitted the bill perfectly.’
