After 15 years of year on year growth, family owned label printer Positive ID Labelling has now announced the appointment of three new directors.

Starting with just three employees, the company has now grown to 24, predominantly full time staff and a £2 million turnover.

Initially a print agent without any in-house manufacturing capability, Positive ID Labelling bought its first printing press in 2004. It now operates 10 presses and a further four plain label converters.

An underlying strategy of reinvestment of profits has seen over £650,000 invested in new equipment over the last 12 months. A digital press with in line laser cutting capability has opened new markets and delivered substantial growth in the low volume sector. This growth will continue with the delivery of a new high volume flexographic press from Brazil in May.

As part of the business development plan, three long standing key employees have now been appointed to the board of directors.

Helen Dennis, who joined the company six years ago is to become commercial director. Daniel Carr who was the first production employee in 2004 is to become production director. Finally Peter Howells, will take the role of technical director.

Continued expansion plans mean the company is now actively seeking two apprentices from the local area.
