Formed only seven years ago, Ace Binding has rapidly expanded in terms of size and plant machinery, and the company’s latest acquisition is a MBO B30/644 Efficiency buckle folding machine supplied by Friedheim International.

Director Rob Hart said, ‘We regularly invest in new equipment to update our capabilities and improve the service to our customers. We already have Friedheim supplied equipment on-site, so I know the company well. I also believe that MBO folders are the best machines on the market for trade finishers, and for us the B30 is the perfect model to fulfil our present requirements.’
Based in Birmingham, Ace specialises in PUR, wiro, spiro and perfect binding. The company also offers folding from B1 to miniature in formats, as well as in line endorse folding, and other finishing services that include laminating, glued mailers, guillotining, shrink wrapping, punching, cutting and creasing.
Rob continued, ‘Since the machine has been installed we have seen productivity increase giving us more capacity. The machine is easy to make ready and has nothing to cause concerns when running, so basically runs all day long!’
