Birmingham based direct mail fulfilment and print management services provider, bakergoodchild, has announced that it is more than ready and able to handle the anticipated increase in direct mail, following the announcement of the surprise General Election in June.
In the lead up to the campaign, the company is expecting that all the political parties will be looking to communicate their respective messages as early and as quickly as possible to the voting public in not only their respective region’s but across the country, thereby utilising its promotional, specialisation and distribution capabilities to the fullest.

Additionally, and as part of an incentive to all the politicians, the postage for only the first direct mail campaign for any MP will be provided free of charge by bakergoodchild, enabling the politicians to generate their message throughout their respective region.
In terms of communicating with the voters, the specialist provider has also stated that it feels this is still the best method of direct marketing communication, with the use of new technology enabling the respective parties to be able to retarget and remarket their messages using both QR codes and Ad Words via direct mail.
Located on a secure industrial estate in Aston, Birmingham, the new premises is equipped with dedicated loading and delivery areas, staff, and customer parking, as well as providing easy access to the major motorway networks.
Managing director Lorraine Burnell stated, ‘The fact this General Election has been called was a surprise to everyone, but it is at times like this when our services and we as a business step up to the fore. We expect the demand and in our new base and with recent investment, are ready and more than able to handle it. We also hope that many of the politicians will take up our offer to get their campaign messages underway.’
