Qualvis has won ‘Company of the Year’ at the recent Leicester Mercury Business Awards. Celebrating success, recognising achievement and highlighting innovation throughout the business community in Leicestershire, the event is recognised as one of the UK’s most important regional awards.
Leicester Mercury managing director David Simms said, ‘Qualvis has excelled as a business so it is only right that it should have been picked as our ‘Company of the Year’. Congratulations go to the management and the whole team there.’

Jason Short, Qualvis’ managing director, said: ‘After five years of hard work and million’s of pounds of investment, it is a huge honour to receive this award on behalf of everyone at Qualvis. The ‘Company of the Year’ award recognises every employees efforts and dedication to help build a successful future.’
Qualvis, based in Thurmaston, Leicester, was a runner up in the ‘Company of the Year’ category last year. The business has recently become the first packaging company globally to install a double digital packaging line. The workflow investment features a Xerox iGen 4 sheetfed digital printer, side by side with an iGen5 automated line. It has has also invested in a seven colour KBA Rapida 106 litho press, which will be used for printing confectionery, distillery, cosmetics and high end food packaging. Both the digital packaging lines and the KBA press represent a total investment of almost £5 million in seven months.
