UK software developer Taopix has announced the immediate availability of the latest release of its photo commerce platform.

The new version, 2017r1, contains over 300 new features and enhancements specifically developed to help Taopix licensees increase their revenues and conversion rates. The majority of features have been implemented following feedback from existing licensees.

One of the most exciting new features is the 3D Designer, a new user journey for Taopix Online that enables licensees to offer a wide range of personalised photo products including mugs, phone cases, canvases and soft furnishings.

The photo realistic experience, available across all devices, gives consumers an enjoyable, interactive way of designing their 3D product by adding text and images and being able to immediately see the finished result by rotating the product on screen.

2017r1 also includes new automated design tools that have been created to speed up the journey to purchase. The Auto Layout, Shuffle Layout and Shuffle Pictures functions help end users find their perfect page layouts in seconds.

Taopix 2017r1 also incorporates a new integration with Site Flow, part of PrintOS, HP’s cloud based print production operating system.

Other notable enhancements have been made to the Taopix Desktop Designer in relation to the user’s journey through the buying process and UX design.

Steffen Haaga, commercial director, said: ‘ We are all very excited about our latest release and what it means for new and existing customers. When it comes to what we develop, our mantra is ‘does it increase our customers revenues?’ and I believe that this version delivers on that ethos. All features and enhancements offer ways of either increasing customer engagement and therefore sales or productivity gains that mean more efficiencies.’
