NBC Print Finishing installs a Komfi laminator

Responding to customer demand for a quicker turn around of jobs, and in order to provide an enhanced service, has led NBC Print Finishing to install a Komfi Delta 52 thermal laminator, supplied by UK agent Friedheim International.

Managing director Nick Champion said, ‘Along with an increased demand for jobs to be laminated came a demand from customers to have certain jobs turned around more quickly. As a result, instead of contracting out all of our laminating jobs we decided to undertake some of this work in-house, thereby giving us more control of the production process.

‘We were recommended to have a look at the Komfi range of laminating machines, and the Delta 52 proved exactly what we were looking for in terms of the format we wanted to handle in-house.’

Located in Bulwell in Nottinghamshire, and now in its fifth year of operation, NBC Print Finishing offers a specialist trade service to local printers in the East Midlands.

Among the specialist finishing services offered are cutting, folding (including pocket and large format map), die cutting, perforating and creasing, laminating, drilling, saddlestitching, direct mail, ram bundling and automatic shrink wrapping.

Nick said, ‘Since the Komfi Delta was installed it has performed exactly as we had hoped, especially in terms of its quality output and reliability, and as a result we are now able to provide a more efficient and enhanced service to our customers on certain types of laminated jobs.

‘As we are new to in-house laminating the Delta has proved ideal in being easy to set up and operate, and in the event that we do encounter any difficulties then one of the other reasons we were recommended to Komfi was the comprehensive after sales service provided by Friedheim International.’
