Packaging Solutions

Packaging bundles of literature to send to customers can be a difficult process if you don’t have the correct equipment to process it. Leading charity RNIB overcame its packaging issues with the WrapMatic 240 from AMS.

Carol Matthews, operational support manager of leading charity for the blind RNIB explained, ‘As a charity we send out a wide range of bulky packages to our blind and partially sighted customers such as braille, large print and audio publications. Our existing packaging machine kept breaking down causing massive delays in packing and dispatching work to clients and we resorted to hand packing using polybags. A decision was made that it would be more cost effective and better for business to replace our existing machine.

‘Having previously purchased other equipment from AMS we contacted the company about a solution to this issue. John, AMS’s packaging equipment manager suggested the WrapMatic 240 L sealer system and made the purchasing process a pleasure right from the first enquiry. The information provided was relevant and accurate and we never felt under pressure to make a decision.’

She continued, ‘We wanted something that could meet our packaging needs as well as being cost effective. We purchased the WrapMatic and shrink tunnel. The WrapMatic is fast, clean, safe and easy to use, I would recommend it to anyone. We have had no performance issues and it has been 100% reliable. Our documents are now packed and dispatched faster, securely resulting in cost savings, happier staff and customers and overall improves our reputation.’

The WrapMatic 240 L-sealer from AMS lets you wrap polyfilm around products up to 600 mm in length. It uses servo motor technology and no compressed air requirements so speed, productivity and sealing precision are of the highest standard.
