Tropico is back, well sort of. It has one of those clever funky expansion packs you all hear about, but tend to ignore or miss out on. And, I am writing this to let you know, that you shouldn’t let this one float passed you.

So, a quick catch up. Tropico, is the sort of game where you build your island, well city, on land surrounded by water, and then try to make sure everyone is happy with your actions whilst trying to revolutionise their way of living. It is not an easy game, but as I have said in a previous issue, it is so much fun.

In this latest addition, Tropico Waterborne, you get your sea legs as you take on the choppy waves of the ocean. You are given the opportunity to be captain, well president, of six new campaigns across the big old blue, by taking control of new industries such as pearl farms, water offices

and apartments and more, oh and if you are good enough you even get your own bloomin’ nuclear submarine – now that’s cool!

Over all though, the game is pretty much the same, not much has changed, but it does add a new lease of life creating exciting challenges and rewards as you progress through the eras. So, if you fancy taking Tropico to the next level, sea level that is, then why not give Waterborne a splash!

7 out of 10!
